Little League

This weekend has been hectic with Alex switching to his new Little League team. I met the new coachs and the team mom and they are really nice. Alex seems to enjoy his new team and he now has a friend he knows from the school so that's good.
I also have a project too for this week now, for the team banners that need to be ready for opening day. I told them about my cricut and being able to cut things out and the team mom was so impressed we actually spent most of the practice discussing ideas. I'm looking forward to this because up until now I've always just used my crafts for family and friends with cards and scrapbooks, but now this is a way for me expand for something else. I just have to find some poster board that matches the Orioles orange so I'm headed off to the Michael's Craft Store (hey I'll take any excuse!)

Valentine's Day Gift

This was a present I had made for my honey for Valentine's day. I used a Pringles can which is filled with 101 typed cut out strips of paper of reasons why I love him, cute quotes and reminders of special things from our past. He really loved it!

Some Random Crafts

This was a card I made for one of my son's friends birthday parties last month. What little girl doesn't want to be a princess?
Another card for one of my son's friends birthday's last month. He's a big baseball fan! I love my Cricut and SCAL system. It really allows me to do so much!
My mom's birthday was this past week so I made her a cupcake card to celebrate.
My boyfriend of 4 years for the first time asked me to pick up a book for him at the library.
(The Soprano State By Bob Ingle and Sandy McClure)
This is the first time I've seen him read anything that wasn't a car manual or auto parts catalog so I decided to attempt to encourage this by making him his own bookmark!

This is a sketch I did for one of my friends daily sketch challenges.

My First Blog

Hello All! Please bear with with me. This is the first blog I have ever done and as I'm sure you are all aware it is a learning process.
I am a mother to my wonderful 7 year old son. He's my little Allstar! In my spare time I like to read, write, craft, make jewelry, sketch, photograph EVERYTHING lol and basically just enjoy the things around me.

One of my favorite things to create would be homemade cards. I love giving them to family and friends for holiday's, birthday's and anyday's. I love seeing their reactions to what I've created specified to who they are and what they like.
So in closing I want to say thank you so much for visiting my blog. I hope this is something I can keep up with and hope I don't bore you all to death lol.
Please feel free to leave comments.
Thank you
